Training sessions for those at the VCF Soccer Academy in Canada are currently being coordinated from a distance, as Head Coach Natalia Garcia awaits permission to travel to the facilities at the Collegue Bourget in Quebec when the global health situation and restrictions allow.
Helping to make sure that physical distance does not become an obstacle are new technologies and tools available to the VCF Academy -used in turn by the VCF Soccer Academies run in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
“With BCoach we can make it easier for coaches to take up the Valencia CF working methodology,” explains García.
“It allows us to generate a simulation of dynamic movement, and we try to represent any individual or collective behaviour in the game in presentations. For example: When we have possession of the ball and we want to progress towards the opposition goal, the movements of the ways we want to do that are simulated.”
“Since we can’t be present for the session, what we do is give the coaches all of the tools for the process. For each exercise we set out the most important things that must take into account, and we present video examples of the movements of Valencia CF players,” she continues.
In addition, García reviews video footage of each session to analyse the exercises and give the corresponding indications to the players.
"I design the work schedule, training sessions, preparation of coaches, methodology education for coaches, and analysis of individual and collective performance."
